Seeking US Expansion, Illy Sells Minority Stake to Rhône Capital

December 19, 2020 By staff writer Leave a Comment

A company is looking to gain more growth and spreading themselves internationally. The transaction is not complete yet and is not expected to be until the year 2021. In 2021 we will know the value of the transaction. As it stands now they provide equipment to different retailers and offer a wide variety of coffee. Key Takeaways:

  • New York-based Rhône Capital has held stakes in companies such as WeWork, Fogo de Chão, and VistaJet.

  • Illy’s chairman said they partnered with Rhône because of its experience in dealing with family-owned businesses.

“The companies have not announced the value of the transaction, which is expected to be completed in Q1 of 2021, according to Illy.”
